


Fundamentals of Drawing Urban Spaces (Online Course)

or watch the recorded session when your schedule allows and schedule optional one-on-one meetings with the instructor
The seven week course is designed for beginner sketchers and those looking to refresh their drawing skills. We will cover main sketching techniques, variation on strokes, values, composition, perspective, watercolor techniques, and successful ways of building your sketch from start to finish. Instruction, demos, exercises, and group and individual feedback is part of every class.
The last 30 minutes of each live session are optional and are reserved for feedback, either as a group or one-on-one. All students can also sign up for one-on-one session with the instructor as many as times as they need through the course to get individual feedback.
This course can be taken asynchronously. A recording of a live class will be available for 30 days after each class takes place.
Level: All levels, especially suitable for beginners.

Week Two: Following the Light: Monochrome Washes
Week Three: Watercolor Mixing and Techniques
Week Four: Composition
Week Five: Representing Spaces with Perspective
Week Six: Showing Distance and Dimension
Week Seven: Step by Step Process of Building a Finished Drawing
